We stopped in Clayton just over the NM/TX border for coffee. A very friendly town, actually everyone in Texas was really friendly.

3.5 miles straight on the Caprock Canyon Rail Trail.
Clarity Tunnel, home to Mexican Free Tail bats, most of whom were not home.
Other end of the tunnel, easier to ride back the slight downhill kept us from bogging down in the thick powdery debris.

Last week we drove to Texas, camping on the way, to our niece Kari's wedding. It was a great trip and a chance to see how well we travel in the truck. On the way we did some bike riding and sightseeing but didn't do as much as we would have liked because it was so unseasonable hot. The wedding was beautiful and we spent time visiting with family. It was a great trip.
