We just got back from a great week end in Moab. I love the old Dewey Bridge and remember when you could drive across it. Now it is just a ruin. We also did a short hike in the Professor Creek/Mary Jane area but missed the trail to Mary Jane. We’ll have to try again next time.
Town was quiet yet, a little early for the spring crowds, but the weather was pretty good. We went out north of town to the Hidden Canyon Rims area to ride on Saturday. We used to ride there a long time ago. It is a good warm up and you are not likely to die on the trail.
Part of the trail is slickrock jeep road, part is sandy. Part is very sandy. We finally back tracked when we came to a 4 way intersection and didn’t have a good idea where the road ended up.
On Sunday we did the Hidden Valley/ Moab Rim trail. Although we have been going to Moab for years we have never done this hike. With a shuttle you can thru hike but we hiked in from either end. Beautiful trail and great rock art.
