Travels

Since my last post in June of 2013 we have been busy.
I ended my last post with the beginning of a wonderful trip to the Pacific Northwest, this is the recap of that trip.
It was early to visit Crater Lake, too much snow to hike or camp.  I assumed that the lower elevation meant earlier access but it turns out that they don't lose their snow until July.

The main road was closed to traffic but not too bikes.  This
section was wide open, and no one there.
 We viewed some light houses.
 Walked the beaches.
Rode bikes on Widbey Island, when we could find the trail.
Watched the cruise ships pass by Whidbey Island.

Enjoyed the beer at the Pelican Pub, right on the beach in Pacific City, OR.

Camped on Howe Sound outside Vancouver BC.
Lake Pend Oreille in Sandpoint ID
Spent time on the water in Sandpoint ID and Anacortes, WA.
We had beautiful sunsets on the beach and great camping.

Most wonderful was that we were able to visit friends in Oregon and family in Idaho which made the trip very special.
