What Next?

As we look forward to next year and beyond we are faced with more change than we have had in the last 25 years.  We have lived in the same town, same house.  Bruce has had the same job while I have changed jobs, but by choice and without any problems.  Our son went off to school and that was an adjustment but not a total lifestyle change.  So, now we are pondering travel and possible  retirement.  In trying to think outside the box we have discussed renting our house and living in an RV, working at National Parks, extended travel, quitting our jobs, taking a big break.  My decision will most likely be made for me, our library system is facing another round of budget cuts and I don't think I will escape this time.  Bruce is finding it harder to get up and go to work, but not ready to quit.  We think we can do it financially but the emotional and practical concerns are many.  We would like to travel light but what about all of our stuff.  Rent our house, same concern.  Can we live in a very small camper, full time and not lose patience with each other? What is the minimum we need to live comfortably, both financially and possessions.  How far can we go?  What if we hate it?
I don't think we can get all the answers with out the experience so for now we are going to research, read and look at RV's.  Wait and see with my job.  Try some short trips.  Sort through our stuff. Think a lot.
It may be an interesting few years!  Now, to make a list of all the people we can visit!
